Situada en la meseta andina del Perú, la región de Puno está dominada por el lago Titicaca, lugar sagrado de los incas y hogar de islas naturales y artificiales. Entre los muchos destinos, hay sitios arqueológicos prehispánicos con construcciones circulares que siguen siendo su nombre original de «chullpas». Las iglesias de Puno se caracterizan por su peculiar arquitectura colonial. Sus habitantes se enorgullecen de su pasado quechua y aymara y de su tradición folclórica que se puede ver cada año en forma de bailes y rituales durante el festival de la Virgen de la Candelaria. Puno es una leyenda, un festival multicolor, y el hogar de las islas naturales y artificiales. Ubicado en el sur montañoso del Perú, comparte frontera con Bolivia.

1er DIA: LIMA – JULIACA PUNO – SILLUSTANI

 Arribo al aeropuerto de la ciudad de Juliaca, Recepciòn  y traslado al hotel en Puno tiempo libre para descansar y aclimatarse a la altura. Por la tarde visita a las famosas Chullpas de Sillustani tumbas cilíndricas hechas de piedra (12 mts. de altura) donde los antiguos Aymaras sepultaban a sus altos sacerdotes. La laguna Umayo, ubicada al frente de las Chullpas, añade belleza al paisaje del lugar, oportunidad de observar distintas aves y otras especies típicas de la zona. Alojamiento

2do DIA: ISLAS FLOTANTES DE LOS UROS + ISLA TAQUILE. (Lago Titicaca)

 Por la mañana, realizaremos una excursión de día completo en el lago Titicaca y visitaremos como primer punto las islas flotantes de los Uros, llamado también “El Pueblo del Lago” Estas islas son construidas con capas de totora y sirven como viviendas y centros de comercio para los nativos del mismo nombre que se movilizan en balsas construidas artesanalmente. Continuaremos nuestro recorrido hasta la Isla de Taquile, donde la comunidad recibe amablemente a los turistas, manteniendo vivas sus tradiciones, costumbres y colorida vestimenta a la usanza antigua. Los isleños son hábiles artesanos y plasman en cada trabajo sorprendentes técnicas desarrolladas durante siglos por sus ancestros. Almuerzo incluido. Por la tarde retorno a Puno. Alojamiento.

 

3er. DÍA: PUNO – CUSCO

 A hora oportuna recojo del hotel y traslado al aeropuerto de Juliaca para tomar el vuelo de retorno a la ciudad de Lima

Be seduced by the history of this charming place and discover the best of Lake Titicaca and its fabulous islands.

DAY 1: LIMA – PUNO

 Upon your arrival to the city, we will assist you and take you to the chosen hotel in Puno. You will have some time to rest and acclimate to the altitude.

 This afternoon we will visit the famous Chullpas of Sillustani, immense cylindrical stone tombs as big as 12 metres high, where the ancient Aymaras buried their most important priests. This mystical place is embellished by the Umayo lagoon, a privileged spot for birdwatching and perfect to observe native species in their habitat.

Overnight in Puno.

 DAY 2: PUNO – UROS ISLAND – TAQUILE

 Early in the morning we will begin our excursion to Lake Titicaca with a visit to the floating islands of the Uros. This community, also called “the Lake Town”, is known for building these islands by overlapping totora reeds that are later on used for housing and commerce.

We will continue our journey to Taquile Island to share a moment with this friendly community. The people of Taquile keep alive the old traditions, customs and colourful outfits. Taquile’s islanders are talented knitters, using a technique that has been passed on for generations, expressed on hand crafted garment.

 DAY 3: PUNO – LIMA

 At scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take flight to next destination.

  • Visit to Sillustani archaeological complex (subject to departure or arrival schedule).

  • 01 traditional lunch at Taquile Island the first day.
